Parts keep falling off!Nov 16, 2010
By Carrie My son has a "thing" for cars so I thought he would totally dig this...and he did...when it was together. There are SO many parts that snap in place and THAT is the problem. Just as easy as they snap IN...they snap OUT. If you have a child that is 7-8 years old that knows how to snap these things in and knows to KEEP THEM there, you are golden...but for a toddler/preschooler......FORGET IT. Unless you are right there to snap these things back in every time, the parts get lost and therefore, the novelty wears off.....(did I mention there are A LOT of parts???).....UGH.
If it isn't made in ONE piece (or close to it), I don't buy it!

Cheap qualityNov 26, 2010
By dd523 My son just recently started becoming interested in matchbox cars. I feel that this line of toys is SO cheaply made. It is a shame that they charge $20 for a chintzy piece of plastic that does fall apart (like the other reviewers said) and doesn't work properly. I had to take the first one back because the water feature didn't work. That being said, my 3 YO picked this out for his birthday and he loves it. When I took the first one back I tried to convince him to pick out something different instead. But he does like it. We've only owned it for about a month now, but he does play with it a lot. Overall I'm happy that he likes it but I wish these products were made better!

this is a total ripoffMar 10, 2009
By J. Davis I paid $64.44 for this toy and when I received it, it did't work. This was what my grandson wanted for his birthday so you can imagine the disapointment when it didn't squirt water. The description says it weighs 8 lbs which it doesn't and it certainly isn't worth $64.44. When I was looking for this gift stores were out of stock and the only place I found any was through Amazon. Because it didn't work I returned it to Amazon and they refunded my money. I have since learned it was made specifically for Toys R Us and costs about $18.oo. It's a fun toy and if you plan to purchase one go to Toys R Us either the store or on line. It will be reasonably priced and it will work.
My son loves this toy!Jun 06, 2012
By Rebecca The best birthday toy my son got. He can sit.for hours running his 100' s of cars through the car wash. Perfect gift for my little guy.
Not what I had expected for the priceDec 27, 2010
By JonathonRocks I bought this for my son's 4th birthday thinking that since he is fascinated with car washes, he would enjoy having his own to work with his hot wheels/matchbox cars. The assembly was simple so I'll give it that much, but the overall design has me puzzled. It's basically a sort-of tunnel with a pump that drips water onto the tops of the cars as they pass under. The only two pieces that resemble a car wash are the spinning foam cylinders at the end of the tunnel. They fit too loosely onto the spindles so if there is a car between them, they will not spin at all. I honestly don't think my son even realized it was a car wash until I showed him how it worked. He's played with it a few times - parking cars in it and taking it apart to use some pieces for other things - but very, very little as a car wash. It's just missing what kids consider a car wash - what happened to brushes and maybe a few hanging strips of cloth? I expected much more for the price. Instead of using this, he now has a basting brush and section of track that he prefers. Should have started with that anyway. Oh well.
